Seton Hall's Jared Rhoden Called His Shot Pregame About Beating Rutgers Thanks To Some Bench Dude From Two Years Ago

Goddamn I love this move. Jared Rhoden called his shot pregame, it's on video and everything. What'd he do? Oh a ho hum 16 and 9 in a 14-point win. That's backing up your shit talking. That man was waiting for this moment after losing to Rutgers by 20 two years ago. Look at this picture, terrible crop job and all. 

Being on the bench in college hoops is a fickle game. You have to pick and choose when you talk shit. In this case, a 20 point win means you're in the right. But you better hope and pray that doesn't come back to bite you in the ass. In this case it did more than that. You have Seton Hall waiting an extra day just to put out a video of Jared Rhoden talking about it all. That dude is the precise reason Rutgers lost, you can't convince me otherwise. 

Now I want to talk about Seton Hall for a second. They are damn good. It's remarkable what Kevin Willard has done and why he's been linked/will be linked to a ton of job openings. He gets guys like Jared Rhoden and develops them over the course of the career. Rhoden's ppg went from 3 to 9 to 14 to 17. His rebounds have improved every year. But this team specifically? They are awesome to watch defensively. They can switch everything, they have legit rim protection and Willard gets his guards to get after dudes. Also the biggest key is the fact Bryce Aiken has been healthy. He's such a game changer for Seton Hall and his ability to go get his own bucket. 

But this is about Jared Rhoden. This is about talking your shit, holding it in for two years and backing it up. Love the move. 

PS: I'm shocked the person Rhoden didn't use for revenge was TJ. Let's get the guy some season tickets. I don't think anyone loves Rutgers basketball more than this kid.
