Mike Trout Just Made This Little Kid's Christmas

Now this is the stuff we love to see during the holiday season. A young Mike Trout fan wanted to reach out to Trout to let him know he's collecting some of his trading cards and was a big fan. He's trying to build up his collection and wanted to know if he could have Trout's autograph. Shooters shoot, squeaky wheel gets the oil, you miss every shot you don't take. Credit to the kid for putting the effort in to write the letter and sending it to him blindly because 9 times out of 10 I'm sure this letter never sees the light of day. Or it's opened and never even addressed, just tossed to the side. No one gets mail anymore, I doubt these athletes or their PR people ever worry about checking their mail and seeing if people are sending them stuff. So it's pretty awesome that Trout not only got the letter and acknowledged it, but he also commented on the Instagram saying that he sent a bunch of stuff to the kid. What a move by Trout. It for sure made this kid's Christmas. This used to be the move when you were a kid in the '90s. Sending some cards in an envelope to an athlete asking him to sign them and then never getting them back, some people did but it was rare. So it's awesome when a guy of Mike Trout's caliber sees the letter and gets the kid hooked up.

I wonder what the haul was for the kid too. And I also truly think this is a real letter written by a kid, and not a dad pretending to be a kid to get some free Mike Trout autographs, like I hope we don't find out this is a guy in his basement flipping autos on eBay. Awesome move by Mike Trout and his team here to see the letter and get some stuff to the child!

And just for fun here is Trout hitting a home run over 4 outfielders.
