Saints Take Out 5 Weeks of Pain on Billy Football and The Jets

Billy Football and I had Saints/Jets Sunday Dec 12th on our calendars since I moved in by him 4 months ago. Both of our teams came in limping to put it mildly. The Saints had lost 5 in a row and the Jets were 3-8.

In what was build as the Great Mormon QB Battle (Hill vs. Wilson BYU), we decided to bet on shocking each other with the ecollar for turnovers. Both QBs have not been shy about giving the ball away.

Thanks to my friend Zach Oliver for getting us some sweet tickets.

The injury ravaged Saints got a bunch of key guys back for this one in RB Alvin Kamara, LT Terron Armstead, DE Marcus Davenport and S Chauncey Gardner-Johnson.

Kamara announced his presence immediately and torched the Jets in the 1st half for 76 yards and a TD. Jets QB Zach Wilson was a woeful 7 of 18 for 76 yards. Jets star rookie WR Elijah Moore was put on IR on Saturday and was missed badly. The rest of their WRs could not separate from Saints DBs.

The 2nd half was more of the same as the Jets could not do a damn thing on offense. They dropped several passes and were completely inept.

The only highlight for poor Billy Football was hitting a +375 bet for Taysom Hill to score the next TD. He punched it in on a 3rd and goal and Billy was happy for a moment.

That happiness faded quickly when Taysom busted a 45 yard TD run late in 4th to kill his +16 live bet. The game ended with Zach Wilson on the Saints 2 yard line for even more pain.

The Jets are already eliminated from the playoffs in week 14. The Saints improve to 6-7 and are still in the race despite the last 5 weeks of pure hell.

There were a good amount of Saints fans in MetLife and we had a blast today. Billy caught me starting a Who Dat chant after the game.

I caught some blow back on Twitter with people saying imagine being that happy beating the Jets.

Well I am sorry for partying. Saints fans had a lot of frustration built up the last 5 weeks and it felt good to let it out. In New Orleans, people celebrate anything and everything. And there’s not a damn thing wrong with enjoying being alive in my book!

WHO DAT SAY THEY GONNA BEAT DEM SAINTS!
