The Titans Defense Absolutely DOMINATED Urban And The Jags On Their Way To A 20-0 Win
When your team has lost 2 straight and have been struggling offensively who do you want to see on the schedule? Urban Meyer, his group of loser coaches, and the Jacksonville Jaguars. They're just what the doctor ordered. This game was over before it started when Urban tried to playfully body up Mike Vrabel, you'd think Urban would have learned to keep his hands to himself and not initiate contact.
Anyways, the game kicked off and it was a laugher. The Jaguars were never in the game, ever. The Titans marched right down the field on the Jags and got into the end zone thanks to a TD run from D'Onta Foreman. It was done then. The Titans didn't do anything special offensively but they didn't need to. Tannehill had a fine game, a rushing touchdown, he spread the ball to 9 different receivers, that's about it. They didn't need to reinvent the wheel to beat the Jags, so they kept some things in their bag of tricks and moved on. Another big thing was no injuries, just keep getting your guys healthy and look towards the playoffs, at 9-4 and in first in the division and currently the 2 seed in the AFC, you can do that. One noteworthy thing is Julio Jones was back. Has been what we thought he was going to be coming into the season? Not at all, but he chipped in 4 catches for 33 yards and made some nice plays. As long as he isn't limping off the field and his hamstring is attached, we're fine with that. This was a good win vs a bad team, it's what the Titans needed after getting shit pumped in New England before their bye last week.
The defense was the story of the game. They terrorized Trevor Lawrence all game. 3 sacks, including one for a loss of 20 above, and 4 picks. They had their way with this offense. James Robinson had 4 yards on 6 carries and for the day the Jags had 8 rushing yards. 8! 8 yards on 8 carries, hell of a day for the rush defense. Lawrence threw for 221 yards on 21 completions, they were just so blah. Everything about the Jags is blah. Lawrence looks lost, he looks confused, but when you're in Jacksonville that is just what happens.
Some of these picks were right at the Titans. I love the Jaguars, I love them so much. They are the ultimate get right game. They are gods gift to the AFC South. Like I said earlier, this was a laugher. So much that the Titans were literally laughing on the field at the Jags players as they were running into each other.
The Jags were literally running each other over, it was great. The Titans defense loved it, I loved it, Mike Vrabel loved it, what a day. Complete domination by the Titans to get to 9-4 and are sitting pretty in the division. Just a few more weeks until a possible Derrick Henry return, things could be worse for Tennessee. Have to feel for Urban Meyer who is a winner, he's just stuck with a bunch of losers for assistant coaches. Think he was happy it was over? Look at the body language difference between he and Vrabel…
