We Had An All-Time Bad Beat In Toronto Last Night And The Islanders Finally Won A Fucking Game

Last night, the entire Chiclets crew was riding with the Isles like we were in the Borrelli family tree. Using timeless gambling reasoning---"they're due (i.e. not going to lose TWELVE in a row)"---we all loaded up on them and wheeled them.

Money line, regulation only, puck line, team goals. And they went out and rolled the Sens, 5-3 (the puck line got a tad hairy for sec). We even offered up a nice little prop for the game.

Thanks to Barzal's 2nd period helper, it cashed. +175 beats the hell out of -145.

But not all puck line backers were as fortunate last night as those laying Toronto -1.5 will attest to. The Leafs headed into the 3rd with a 5-1 lead and the shitty -110 return was looking pretty solid. (Seriously, it's fucking hard to win by two goals in the NHL---If you're not getting +150 or higher, look elsewhere.)

The BJs cut it to 5-2 early in the 3rd but the Leafs were still nursing a three-goal lead with 3:40 left in the game. Sean Kuraly made it 5-3 with 3:35 left and it became 'Hold Onto Your Butts' time because Columbus would be soon pulling the goalie. And then this happened with .6 left on the clock...

Oof, what an absolute kick to the 'nads it is. Have I ever seen this before? Motherfucker, I lived it. And mine was .5 worse.

But it's all in the game. Live by the empty net, die by the empty net...

Good luck to all.
