MIT Scientists In 1972 Predicted That The Complete Collapse Of Our Society Will Happen In 2040, New Evidence Shows We Are Ahead Of Schedule!

'Pollution becomes so seriously it will start to kill people, which in turn will cause the population to diminish, lower than it was in the 1900. At this stage, around 2040 to 2050, civilized life as we know it on this planet will cease to exist.'

Herrington used the same model, but the third version of the simulation called World3, and looked at 10 key variables: population, fertility rates, mortality rates, industrial output, food production, services, non-renewable resources, persistent pollution, human welfare, and ecological footprint, as first reported on by VICE.

BAU2 and CT scenarios show a halt in growth within a decade or so from now,' concludes the study published in in the Yale Journal of Industrial Ecology.

'Both scenarios thus indicate that continuing business as usual, that is, pursuing continuous growth, is not possible.

'Even when paired with unprecedented technological development and adoption, business as usual as modelled by LtG [Limits of Growth, the MIT book based on its study] would inevitably lead to declines in industrial capital, agricultural output, and welfare levels within this century.'

Although the 1972 simulation suggests society doomed, Herrington's study adds that technological progress and investing more in public services could shift us away from collapsing.

However, humanity will have to put in a strong effort in the next decade to change the bleak future.

Well...shit. Very scary stuff if you buy into this series. Heading towards the Dark Ages 2.0 of humanity. These MIT nerds telling us that we are going back to a time where they didn't even have universal indoor plumbing. Pollution, fertility rates, industrial output, food production, human welfare, etc. It's all very troubling. It reminds me of the old JFK quote from his famous "Peace Speech" at American University.

"Our problems are man-made. Therefore they can be solved by man"--JFK

The last line I put in bold from the article "humanity will have to put in a strong effort in the next decade to change the bleak future"...we are FUCKED. A strong effort? Nobody is going to do that! We want to solve problems with instagram posts. Our problems are man-made...but we don't have any fucking men left on Earth. Myself include. Just a soft, doughy, milk bag, who can't even really type right now because my fingers are a little cold in my apartment, but I am too lazy to get up from under a blanket to adjust the heat. I went hunting this weekend like a real man, but in reality wearing all that camo and shooting weapons was just like a Halloween in November/December. I am not a real man. I missed my one shot. My only hope of survival in the future where there's no food via delivery apps and grocery stores is to convince other people that I have value because I can speak a little, but it'll be a  hard sell because I don't even really believe it. I am just going to walk on this Earth hand in hand with the other internet dough boys to the end of our days. One last midnight as the Strauss-Howe theory becomes a reality.

We had another Strauss-Howe type of dogwalk today talking about the Ukraine-Russia conflict that appears to be a powder keg globally. Along with the other powder kegs that exist between Taiwan and China, Iran-Israel, and every other corner of the Earth. Ep below
