A True Shame - It Took *Checks Notes* Exactly 1 Game For Duke To Lose After Everyone Decided To Give Them The Title

Ah, it wasn't that long ago that everyone was sucking Duke's dick for beating Gonzaga and declaring them as the title favorites. People automatically calling them the best team in the country. Guess this means, they were wrong? Guess this means, Ohio State is better than Duke. It's the same as Duke over Gonzaga right? Or did Gonzaga lose a second game after playing UCLA a few days later. Sound familiar at all? 

Now the good news is no one said Duke would run away with it tonight. 

Now Marty is right. Duke didn't play well. It's because their halfcourt offense isn't exactly what you would call great. It's a lot of ISO for Banchero and hoping that Wendell Moore can bail them out. There's really nothing pretty about it. It's just using incredible individual talent in Banchero especially. It's not like they can shoot the ball. They entered the game shooting 33% from three. They went 4-for-14 tonight. 

Shit, they couldn't beat a team that went 11-for-22 from the free throw line. You couldn't pull away from that team? It's not like Ohio State played well. A true shame. I bet K really wishes he stopped ducking Maryland and scheduled Turg instead of Holtmann to close out his nonconference season. Just hate to see him end his nonconference career with a loss. True shame. 

Good thing nobody ever overreacts to a loss in November in college basketball. Congrats to Ohio State on being better than Duke.
