This is legit cool as hell. Everything from the party to the march to the old school gym to playing on the volleyball court. Shit, even Chris Beard's shoes are fire.

Yeah, I get it. Really any sort of college team needs to have the regular people show up to make money. But give me something like this once a year. Give it to me for a decent game too. I'm not saying for a rivalry game or biggest game on the schedule. But like, Texas/Iowa State? Sure. I want to see 3,500 drunk ass college kids only there going crazy. I want it to feel like a high school game all over again. 

College sports (and really sports in general) should be all about homecourt advantage. Why have some old person who isn't sure when to stand or be loud there vs getting a junior marketing major who is 14 Natty Lights in? Even the court with the weird lines and the volleyball court? Yeah, there's some nostalgia there. Play into it for a game or two a season. 

I said it before but Chris Beard just gets it. He did it at Tech, he's doing it at Texas. He knows how to get people invested in a program. This is a genius marketing move. The party stems from selling out the student section for their first home game. Get them all excited, join in on the walk to the gym and play ball. Students eat that shit up.
