THE IOWA HAWKEYES ARE HEADED TO THE B1G CHAMPIONSHIP

ROW THE BOAT! ROW THE BOAT! ROW THE BOAT!

THANK YOU MINNESOTA!!!!!!!!!!

Holy SHIT man. Who saw this coming? Not me, I can tell you that. If you had asked me yesterday when Iowa was down by 15 points in the 3rd quarter to Nebraska what the chances were that the Hawkeyes would end up in the B1G Championship I would've said 0%. Literally zero. It just seemed like too big of a hill to climb and too many things had to break Iowa's way in short order. Because not only would Iowa have to rally back and beat Nebraska on the road but then unranked Minnesota would have to beat #18 Wisconsin. But not only did Iowa rally back against Nebraska (in the most bizarre fashion possible with a blocked punt returned for a touchdown, a safety and two field goals) but the Gophers just pulled off the upset and now the Iowa fucking Hawkeyes are headed to Indy to face off against Michigan for the B1G title. Wowzers.

And sure, is Michigan the better football team on paper? Yeah of course. They just knocked off the #2 team in the country earlier today and Iowa barely scraped by a 3-8 team (albeit maybe the greatest 3-8 team in football history) yesterday. Iowa has two quarterbacks and it sometimes feels like we don't have any. Yeah we're a 10-2 team but it hasn't been pretty. We just keep getting by and getting by and getting by. Michigan is better. On paper. But don't forget, there's history in this match up. Barstool history. I'm typing these words from my New York City apartment because of a Michigan vs Iowa game and the Wolverines were far and away the better team then too. That's all I'm gonna say.
