Baker Mayfield's Wife Reposted On Instagram That No One Better Say Anything Bad About His Game Yesterday (8.6 QBR) And His Teammates Should Take The Hint and Get Tougher

Oh cry me a river, Emily. We can't do this. No one is questioning your husband's toughness, but everyone is questioning his accuracy and ability to throw the football. He was 15 of 29 with 2 INTs against the worst team in football. Yes, Browns fans can say bad things about him after this game. His QBR was 8.6. Get off your high horse, or at least keep it off social media. We love Baker, but not everything is going to be candy and roses when you miss a wide open Jarvis Landry and sail it an extra 20 yards into the defender's arms. He needed to play better yesterday.

So if it's all of the injuries that he's piled up that's causing him to be unable to throw the football into the ocean if he were standing on a boat, he needs to sit out. We pay Case Keenum $6 million a year for reasons exactly like this. And honestly, I blame Kevin Stefanski for allowing this to go on. If he needs to sit, sit him. Especially when the 0-8 Lions were coming to town yesterday. Case Keenum would've got the job done. Could've allowed Baker 14 days of rest to get ready for the big Baltimore game on Sunday night, but instead we threw an injured QB out there to struggle and get beat up even more. Why?

"Maybe the rest of our team should take the hint and get tougher". Yikes. I know this isn't her words, but she reposted them. And being the franchise QBs wife comes with the responsibility that you can't do things like this. It implies that Baker's inner circle thinks the Browns are being soft. Well guess what Baker's inner circle, I think Baker played like shit yesterday and a healthy Case Keenum would've done better, but I'm not going to say that because it would just cause more drama.

Bottomline: the Mayfield's have rabbit ears. There's no other way to put it, and it's both a blessing and a curse. Baker plays better when his back is to the wall, but both he and his wife hear EVERYTHING.

And to the crowd saying that OBJ's dad can't repost a fan video but Emily Mayfield is able to repost things like this, shut up. People are all over for this too. And if you don't see the difference between her reposting this dumb take and OBJs dad reposting a video saying that our franchise QB purposefully doesn't get his son the ball because he doesn't "want to see him shine", then I can't help you. Neither are good, his was clearly worse and it resulted in OBJ's departure. Baker will be back on Sunday night in the biggest game of the season. I just hope he can hit the broad side of the barn this week.
