Four-Star QB Drew Allar Made One of the Best Throws You'll Ever See by a High Schooler

This play came across my timeline today and introduced me to four-star QB Drew Allar. He's currently the No. 74 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite rankings, a finalist for the 2022 Elite 11 class and is committed to Penn State.

Now that most states are into the playoffs in high school football, this is when you really start hearing about many of the prospects in the upcoming signing class. And I hadn't heard Allar's name before today, but this kid is a baller. Just look at that throw: on the move to his left, 40 yards on a dime across his body right where it needed to be. Beautiful.

That would have been good enough. Then I saw what he did the rest of that game.

Yep, that'll play. There was another 62-yard passing touchdown and another rushing score, too, by the way. Allar's numbers for the season — before last Friday — are just as gaudy: 230-352 (65.3%), 3,430 yards, 40 TD, 3 INT.

Penn State has definitely had solid quarterback play the last few years, but I'm not sure they've had anybody quite like this guy. Put that arm in a college strength program for a year or two and there's no telling what kinds of throws Allar could be making for the Nittany Lions.
