'The Challenge Lies, Spies And Allies' Week 12 Recap And Power Rankings - It's So Damn Stupid How Important Emy Is To The Show

*Spoilers Obviously Ahead. Again, this is your warning*

We're going to keep these blogs going. If we can't have No Quitters (RIPIP, send all complaints on Twitter) we're going to have the blog damnit. The Challenge is too damn good of a show to not be talked about. Each Thursday I'll drop one of these recaps and power rankings so we all can argue about America's fifth sport. I'll try to convince the other guys to do something from time to time because something tells me this season is going on for months.

Fucking Emy still sucks and yet she's vital to the show

I can't believe Emy is still around. I chalked her up to being out of the show early and then never talked about again. Instead she's an all-time lunatic, freaking out again in the 'club' or whatever they call it. Then she goes into the elimination and easily beats Bettina. That said, I can't fucking stand her. I'm convinced she truly thinks CT is her Uncle. I also can't believe how much CT enjoys being her partner. Puts old Bobby Reags in a real pickle here. The vets are somehow using her perfectly though. They have her trust, she just blurts out EXACTLY what she's going to do and then she does it. Somehow, someway she's also good at eliminations. It all makes no sense.

500th episode of the show

I can't believe we're 500 episodes in and I won't be going anywhere. Just give me TJ as a host, more Hall Brawl's and more fighting. That said, they did the whole 'thanks for watching' thing and Logan having no idea what was going on made me laugh more than I care to admit.

Josh actually did something athletic

We got what was probably the most enjoyable daily challenge so far. It was like old school American Gladiators where you have offense/defense and gotta go about 20ish yards or so staying in bounds and not losing your 'bag of money.' I needed way more contact though. CT not laying someone out was brutal. Give me Choo Choo CT here. But Josh giving a stiff arm? I have no idea Josh could run let alone stiff arm someone. My jaw hit the floor watching it live. Just one of the more shocking things I've seen.

Overall the episode was nothing but a build up

The episode was whatever. This is what happens when we have 242 episodes this season. It all just set up Emy joining Sapphire and sending Amanda to Ruby. That gives Sapphire Kyle, CT, Ashley and Emy. Pretty good! We all know Emerald is running the shit. They still have 6 - Nany, Kaycee, Tori, Emanuel, Devin and Josh. Then Ruby is just trash. Nelson, Cory, Logan, Big T and Amanda. Woof. The end of the episode was hyping up Sapphire as the new power cell, which means something is going to happen next week with them. They don't tease it that way and then just have Sapphire finish like 2nd.

Nelson still doesn't get the game

So the episode started with Nelson yelling at Kyle and getting in his face for … playing the game. Kyle left Ruby and sent Nelson over. Bro, it's literally how the game is played. He didn't 'snake' you. You're still in the game. You can pick different teams if you win, everyone knows this. Part of me enjoys that these morons will still fight over nothing because they forget the game. But come on man. I also wish Kyle didn't apologize, but I love that he did strictly for the reason to protect himself. That's how you snake it.

Devin is playing a perfect game

Through the 12 episodes so far it's pretty clear Devin is playing a perfect game. He hung onto the Vet Alliance and sort of became a vocal leader. He got in with Big Brother Alliance from a smart play. Now he's hanging with Emerald and setting them up for the best run. He's not backing down from playing smart moves. Amanda tried to scare him into joining Emerald, he didn't care. He has the capability to be the face of the show once CT hangs it up. It's been one of the best runs early in the season so far.
