Can We Talk About One Of The Worst Flags Thrown In Modern American Football Yesterday Against Iowa State's Xavier Hutchinson?

(Disclaimer - If there are women or children around you might want to warn them before hitting play on that video.)

HUGE win for Iowa State over the Cowboys yesterday, 24-21. The W keeps Iowa State in the Big 12 running, while Iowa State handed Oklahoma State its first loss of the season.

Unranked Iowa State staged a big comeback in the second half for a win over the No. 8 ranked Oklahoma State.

And WR Xavier Hutchinson led the way for Iowa State with two touchdowns and a long 51-yard catch.

But the play everybody was talking about after the game was this disgusting display of poor sportsmanship.

On the play, Hutchinson broke coverage to break free for a wide-open 65  yarder he took the house. But the play was erased when he was called for taunting.

Yes, taunting.

What did he do here?

I'm no Bald Eagle but my eyes tell me he looked behind him to see where the defenders he left in the dust were and then casually high knee'd into the end zone.

How can you not only throw a flag for taunting on that play, never mind take points off the board?

To say the ref who flagged this should be fired immediately is an insult to shitty refs who have been fired for being shitty before.

I mean this guy either had OK State +7, or was a big Hawkeyes fan.

Or both.

Thank God Hutchinton still tacked one on later in the drive and Iowa State prevailed because if they'd lost, and had a score negated over a call like this the good people of Ames would have found and dragged this ref out of his Hampton Inn and strapped him in an electric chair. And rightfully so.

p.s. - in all seriousness, this kid is balling.
