This Beautiful Sleepy Head Is About To Take Home Another $100,000 Stakes Winner At The "Carle Place Stakes" Today At Belmont

This is Smokin' Jay. Smokin' Jay is a horse that Chief and I own part of via Crowns Way Racing here in Chicago. Smokin' Jay is a goddamn stud of a horse and today he's racing in the $100,000 Carle Place Stakes at Belmont. This is his 2nd stakes race in a row at Belmont, his last being in the Allied Forces Stakes last month, which is the video linked above.

His Allied Forces stretch run was incredible and it paid $32 to boot as he went off at 15-1, which made no sense at the time. Jay made people a LOT of money that decided to ride with him. Just an unbelievable ride by Luis Saez and Jay. In this race, Jay finally beat Arzak and Irad Ortiz, who he's developing a budding rivalry with.

On the note of their budding rivalry, Arzak nosed out Jay at Presque Isle in the Tom Ridge Stakes in August, which is one of the worst beats you'll see in horse racing:

This is the 4th time total Arzak and Jay have met in a stakes race, with each bringing home a win in the first 3 races. Though the last race wasn't Arzak's finest ride, he's also an awesome horse and will be near the board at the end of today's race and at 8-1, the value is there to bet him to hit said board.

I cannot wait until this race this afternoon. It's like waiting all day for one of my sports teams to play; I have that antsy, anxious feeling in my stomach. Jay is really hitting his stride right now and we're hoping for big things in 2022. I'm not saying the words "Breeders Cup" but I'm not not saying it either.

Let's ride. The race will be live on FS1 today. Post time is 3:52CST. Be there and hopefully Jay makes a lot of us some money.

ALSO - if looking to get in on the horse racing game, email our top dog at Crowns Way and he'll give ya all the info ya need on what the future of our stable is looking like. Looking to find the next Smokin' Jay to buy sooner than later.
