Atlanta Did It Again

It was 5-2 in the 8th inning. The Braves were five outs away from a 3-0 lead in the NLCS, something which has guaranteed a series win every time but one in baseball history.

Then, Atlanta struck again. You could just feel it coming.

Now at best, the Braves can make this series 3-1 tomorrow, which will bring memories of 2020 flooding back into the minds of every player, coach and fan, no matter how hard they try to ignore them. And at worst, this series could be tied 2-2 in a little more than 24 hours with every possible ounce of momentum squarely on the side of Los Angeles.

I'm reminded right now of the late, great Lewis Grizzard's column after Georgia lost to Georgia Tech in 1984. It read, in its entirety, "Frankly, I don't want to talk about it."

Please win tomorrow.
