It's Been The Phil Series Of Poker As Phil Hellmuth Has Been Absolutely Crushing It This Year

Bow down to your GOAT. I say that jokingly but also not, because Phil Hellmuth is absolutely CRUSHING this year's WSOP. Last night he got a whisker away from taking down his 2nd bracelet of the Fall when he final tabled the $10,000 Dealer's Choice event, not an easy event to win as they rotate 20 different disciplines of poker. He ultimately finished runner up, just shy of taking home his 17th bracelet and 2nd in a week.

The story does have a cool twist to it though- Adam Friedman has now won this same event 3 straight years in a row, which is mind blowing.

Back to back to back winner in a $10k where you need to be great at every game is wildly, WILDLY impressive.

Phil was just on our Cracking Aces poker podcast before the World Series and he was as confident as can be. He's currently battling two other friends of the program Anthony Zinno and Jake Schwartz for the WSOP player of the year award.

With still a month to go at the WSOP anything can happen. Never rule out DNegs, of course.

Make sure to check out Cracking Aces, we have on the biggest guests and have a lot of fun talking poker and our lives. It's just a fun time.
