This is how you sell a movie. I’ve been a champion of this thing for a while. I think Matt Reeves is one of the best big budget directors working, and Robert Pattinson has proven himself to be a remarkable actor. I’ve had high hopes for a while. With that said, I never thought that this movie would ever look THIS good. I’ve watched this trailer a dozen times and I look forward to watching it dozens more times before this movie drops in March.
I love so many things about this trailer, but I think the supporting cast is standing out. I have a feeling that Zoe Kravitz is going to be a fan favorite. The casting is excellent, and she seems to have an excellent feel for the role. Colin Farrell is utterly unrecognizable as the Penguin. And dude, Paul Dano as the Riddler? You couldn’t cast it any better.
I can’t get over how good Pattinson looks in the role of Batman. He is absolutely terrifying. This is what Batman should be, not a guy who kills people, but a guy who is willing to come damn close. And again, PAUL DANO AS THE RIDDLER! I can’t remember the last time I was this excited about a movie. I have been less than pleased with some recent live-action versions of Batman. I know they have their defenders, and that’s fine. But so far, these trailers are everything I was hoping for. March 4th can’t get here fast enough.
