Giants Game 5 Starter Logan Webb Says He Drinks THREE Red Bulls Before Every Start

There shouldn't be any doubt as to whether or not Logan Webb will be ready to take the ball for the San Francisco Giants when they take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in a winner-take-all Game 5 of the NLDS on Thursday night, because he's going to have more than 300 mg of caffeine coursing through his veins.

Webb said he drinks not one, not two, but THREE Red Bulls every time he pitches. My biggest takeaway from this revelation is thank God Webb isn't a position player and he only does this once every five days or his heart might have exploded already.

It's worked pretty well for him so far, though. In 26 regular season starts this season, Webb put up a 3.03 ERA in nearly 150 innings and dominated the Dodgers in his first start of this series, not allowing a run in 7.2 innings. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I need to know how these Red Bulls are consumed, though. Is it a 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. deal or is he downing three cans right before he heads out to the bullpen? Either way, it's an unfathomable routine. But whatever works.

I will be rooting for Logan and his teammates tonight in their quest to earn the right to meet the Atlanta Braves in the National League Championship Series. I hope the Red Bulls give him all the energy he needs to shut down the Dodgers' lineup.

And if he shoves again tonight and ever pays for another Red Bull, that entire marketing team needs to be replaced.
