A Viral TikTok Song Was the Reason Alabama Lost Its First Game in Two Years

This is "I Hate Alabama" by country artist Conner Smith. He teased the song on TikTok on September 29 and, as videos on the platform tend to do, it quickly went viral. So viral, in fact, that Smith put out the song just a week later on this past Friday.

We all know what happened on Saturday.

Am I saying the Crimson Tide suffered their first loss since 2019 because of this objectively awesome song? I don't know. I generally don't believe in coincidences.

I mostly just wanted to write one more blog about Alabama losing a game in which it out-gained Texas A&M by 143 yards, possessed the ball for nearly 34 minutes and had a seven-point lead with 5:00 left. And if I can throw my new favorite song in there which may or may not be somewhat responsible for that happening, so be it.

I have already listened to this bop about 100 times and will probably triple that by the time Tennessee plays the Tide next Saturday. Any country breakup song that incorporates Vols football is perfection in my book.
