An Alabama High School Kicker Nearly Made a SEVENTY-Yard Field Goal

I don't care even a little bit that this field goal wasn't made. Justin Tucker just set the NFL record with a 66-yard field goal and there's a high school kid out here even trying one from 70?!

That ball TELEPORTS about 40 yards before you can even see it spinning end-over-end. I'd be willing to bet you're in the 99th percentile of high school kickers in the country if you could even hit from 40 yards out with any degree of consistency. Meanwhile, Alex McPherson is in range as soon as his team gets one first down on its own side of the field.

McPherson is committed to Auburn and if his highlight tape from his junior season is any indication, this wasn't the first time he's booted one that far. The first kick on the film is a 56-yarder that clears the crossbar by at least five yards or so — and that was last season.

The Tigers may have an absolute weapon on special teams next season.
