Dave Chappelle Says DaBaby Got Cancelled Harder For Making Fun Of Gays Than He Did For Killing A Guy

Source - DaBaby killing a man wasn't even nearly as offensive as him going after the LGBT community, which torpedoed his career ... a disparity Dave Chappelle says doesn't sit well with him.

The comedian's got a new stand-up special on Netflix, and right off the bat ... he starts making jokes about DB falling from grace after going on a homophobic rant, which Dave notes might've been more of a cardinal sin than actually ending someone's life.

Of course, he's talking about a legal case DaBaby was wrapped up in some years ago -- when cops say he was involved in a fatal shooting at a Walmart in North Carolina ... something DB himself has said was done in self-defense, and for which he skated.

The Joke:

He's not wrong. People went nuts when DaBaby made those comments at Rolling Loud, but when he killed a guy? Not so much. Granted that was in November of 2018, long before DaBaby really blew up, but still- no one gave a shit. I didn't even know he did it. Fast forward three years and the entire internet collectively lost its mind when he went on his HIV/AIDS rant. Which they have a right to, but it's still important to point out the hypocrisy. And that's what makes Dave Chappelle so great, he sees things the rest of us don't. He also talks about the difference between "old school" gays and news ones, which is shockingly accurate. Anyway, if you haven't checked out his latest Netflix special I highly suggest giving it a watch. The only requirement is that you have a sense a sense of humor. Remember, it's a comedy show, not something that should be taken seriously. Now here's my favorite Chappelle stand up of all time. Enjoy...
