Sure, Why Not: Kanye Is Reportedly Opening 'Donda Academy', Already Landed Two Top-10 Basketball Recruits

What the hell is going on here? I mean after Bishop Sycamore how can we take any of this without a grain of salt. It's impossible. Sure we've seen prep schools pop up left and right, but now Donda Academy has landed Jahki Howard, a top-5 recruit in the class of 2024. He's moving from Georgia to LA to be part of this first ever team. Jalen Hooks is a top-70 recruit in the class of 2023 from Indiana and Robert Dillingham is the 9th ranked recruit in the class of 2023. That's a pretty good start!

And there's this from Gyro

In a report earlier this month from MTV News, Donda Academy Education Consultant, Beulah McLoyd said the school “prepares students to become the next generation of leaders, thinkers and innovators by providing them with a world-class education.” According to her personal website, McLoyd is a Chicago native with two decades of educational experience.

They are already a step ahead of Bishop Sycamore though, they have a website. That was step 1. Step 2 is landing recruits people heard about. Bishop Sycamore claimed they had all these high recruits. Donda Academy landing three top-70 recruits including two in the top-10 is huge. That will draw eyeballs. Plus, let's be honest. There are a million schools like this with Prep Schools in high school ball. The difference is Kanye is behind this one.

You know what? Fuck it. Imagine if this actually works and Donda Academy becomes a powerhouse. Why not? I'm sure Drake will immediately open his own prep school and try to dominate Kanye. Just gotta hope this is still around in about 12 years when my 2-year old son is playing high school hoops. Kid loves the game, just concerned about how much he relies on dunking already. Don't think he'll have that option on a 10-foot rim.
