Dave Chappelle Releases Trailer For Sixth And Final Installment Of Netflix Stand-Up Special

Source - UPDATE, with trailer Dave Chappelle is returning to Netflix with a new stand-up special, The Closer. Emmy-winning director Stan Lathan, who has directed all six of Chappelle’s Netflix specials, also returns to direct The Closer, which premieres globally on Netflix October 5.

Billed as ‘the sixth chapter”, the special wraps up a body of work for Chappelle which includes The Age Of Spin, Deep In The Heart Of Texas, Equanimity, The Bird Revelation, And Sticks & Stones.

I would've liked for him to release a clip of the actual show, but I get why he didn't. The guy locks people's phones up when they go to see him, there's no way he's giving away jokes for free. Not only that, I'm sure Netflix wants to keep the entire act under lock and key until it drops tonight at midnight. After all, they pay roughly $3.3 million every time he steps on stage. Not bad for an hours work. He's been releasing one special per year since he signed the $20 million Netflix deal back in November of 2016, so after this who knows where or when he'll pop up after this.

That said, he was at The Stand with Kanye last night so maybe it'll be more than we think...

Shocker, there's no footage. I'll write a review of the special tomorrow once they start posting clips. Until then here's a video of his HBO half hour from 2012. Enjoy...
