The NFL Needs To Act Swiftly To Get Short Shaming Out Of The League For Good
Smh. Shaking my gosh darn frickin' head. I mean can you believe this is still happening? In the year of our lord 2021? I truly thought we were past this. I figured that we, as a society, have progressed to the point where we realize that people don't have any control over their height. That a guy like Spencer Brown did just as little work to be 6'8" as Desmond King did to be 5'10" (which is taller than average, by the way).
If anything, it's more impressive for Desmond King to make it to the NFL than Spencer Brown. I mean he was simply just born big as shit. It's not like he was the first one in the gym every morning and the last one out at night trying to get those inches. It was just genetic. So if anything, it should be the other way around and Desmond King should be height shaming Spencer Brown. He's significantly larger than King yet look at where they are, the same exact profession.
But if I'm Roger Goodell, I'm acting quickly on this one. Just think about how many 5'8" (on a good day) bloggers are out there who are watching this at home. What kind of message does it send to all us short kings that the league would simply stand aside and do nothing to rectify this situation? Like I mentioned, 5'10" is above average height. So you have to figure that if 5'10" is above average, that means that at least 50% of us watching are shorter than that. What if we all just decided to stop watching? You think the NFL could handle losing 50% of its viewership? Think again, cowboy.
So either the NFL steps in here and gets short shaming out of the league, or all of vertically challenged are out. Your choice, Rog.
