Ole Miss Came At The King And Missed

Before kickoff of Ole Miss/Alabama, Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin said on CBS “You better get your popcorn ready.”

Bold statement by a bold man. Unfortunately, the Rebels could not back it up as #1 Alabama rolled 42-21 in a game that was never close.

On the opening possession, Ole Miss was stopped on 4th & 1 at the Alabama 5. The Crimson Tide then scored on a long TD drive.

Alabama stopped Ole Miss on 4th down near midfield then scored again and the route was on. The Tide led 28-0 at half.

Ole Miss saved some face with three second half touchdowns but this game was all Crimson Tide.

After gaining over 600 yards last year, Ole Miss was held to a meager 291 total yards. The running game and deep balls never got going for QB Matt Corral.

Alabama RB Bryan Robinson Jr. had a monster game with 171 rushing yards and 4 TDs.

Every year it is the same old crap. Teams and fan bases get excited to play Bama and get destroyed. The Tide have been at the top of the sport since 2009 under Nick Saban and there’s no end in site. Alabama and Georgia are clearly the best 2 teams in the country.

For Ole Miss, it still can be a great season. They host Arkansas next week in Oxford after the top 10 Razorbacks got slaughtered 37-0 at Georgia.

Alabama beating the hell out of everyone…. Same as it ever was.

The hell with this Saturday….Time to go to Vegas.
