Yankees Rock That Fraud Cy Young Frontrunner Robbie Ray To Win a Massive Series In Toronto

Yankees 6 Blue Jays 2

The Yankees were faced with their biggest game of the season Thursday night coming off a loss on Wednesday. Win and you comfortably pull ahead of the Blue Jays while keeping at minimum a one game safe distance from Boston. The tough part of that equation is that it would have to come against the frontrunner for the AL Cy Young in Robbie Ray. The Yankees had beaten Ray in both meeting outings coming into this one, but that dude hadn't allowed more than three runs in a start since mid-July. Easier said than done. Until the 6th inning all the Yankees had to show for themselves was this titanic Aaron Judge blast.

After that the bats went quiet while the Jays retook the lead in the 5th inning on a Vladdy Jr. double off the top of the wall.

Then George Springer started dancing like an asshole

The Yankees had 12 outs to make something happen and boy did they make something happen. They turned Robbie Ray back into the pumpkin that he was in his whole career in Arizona. Not one, not two, but three bombs to break the game open.

Holy fucking moly was that 6th inning orgasmic. Let me tell you about Robbie Ray. Sure he has good numbers but at the end of the day he wears a kid sized jersey and kid sized pants while grunting like an asshole on every pitch. If he ends up bringing home the hardware only Rick Porcello would be more of a fraud Cy Young winner than that dude let's face facts.

All the Yankees pen had to do was hold it down for 12 outs and they were home free. Well, that's exactly what they did with the combo of Michael King who has been a force since coming off the IL, Luis Severino who has been untouchable since returning, Chad Green, and Aroldis Chapman. 4 shutout innings from those 4 relievers guided the Yankees to a massive W and their 8th victory in 9 games. All of this thanks to Bronxie the magic turtle. God bless that beautiful bastard.

So where does that leave us? Well, the Red Sox lost again to the Orioles thanks to the combo of Nick Pivetta and Garrett Richards. Unbelievable. You Sox fans deserve better than watching those two bums throw 4 wild pitches in one inning. Where are all you scumbags that chirped the Yanks for being in 3rd place all year? Every fucking tweet of mine you were right there to shove it in my ugly face. Now you are fending off the Mariners just to get into the Wild Card game after once having a monster lead in the division. How the turns have tabled, Jared.

I don't know about you, but it feels like we get a Game 163. Boston has the Nats, Seattle has the Angels, Toronto has Baltimore, and the Yankees have the Rays. Let's have ourselves a weekend.
