Justin Thomas Pissing Off Europe And Officially Becoming Captain America Is Exactly What We Needed At This Ryder Cup

I've said it for the weeks leading up to the Ryder Cup. America needed a villain. I thought Berger had a chance to be that - notice he's there chugging beers with JT. We got our guy. Justin Thomas is Captain America. He's now the villain to Europe. He has people clutching their polo shirts because he's smashing beers before the afternoon session. More importantly he's doing shit to annoy Europe.

That was the moment in the morning session that changed it all around for Spieth and JT. The moment Europe didn't give him the putt that was within the grip. He was pissed. So he let Europe know and didn't exactly hide it. It was clear as shit that he was telling them it was a putt that should have been conceded. Didn't matter. He made it and it lit a fire under their ass.

Then there's the passionate play. No one is showing more emotion on the course than Thomas.

The best part? Thomas isn't even playing his best golf. I mean it's not exactly a secret that DJ and Morikawa have been awesome for us. Xander/Cantlay arguably our most dominant team so far. But Thomas is out here grinding out points, getting 1.5 out of 3 possible points so far. He's giving us OUR guy. I said it before but Europe could always count on Poulter, Sergio and Rory. The US was always kind of mixing dudes trying to figure out what worked. Well, we have our own version of that now. Justin Thomas is Captain America. Someone get him a goddamn beer.

Oh and it's already working. We had Shane Lowry complaining right away in this afternoon session.

Step on their throats and get another 2-2.5 points this afternoon.
