Nobody Can Beat Colton Herta At Laguna Seca

Two races at Laguna. Two wins for Colton Herta. Victory Tacos a plenty tonight for the Cali kid. He was dominant all weekend long. Fastest in practice. Qualified 1st and didn't let up on Sunday to take the checkered flag.

Second win of the year for young Colton, but he honestly should have more. I wrote last month after Gateway that Josef Newgarden's bad luck seemed to make its way to Colton. He was dominant all of Nashville then sent it a little too hard to crash with five laps left while gaining on Marcus Ericsson. Qualified 2nd two weekends later in St. Louis, had a pretty comfortable lead, then fucking tire failure that screwed his whole night. Finally put it all together again today in Laguna. Led every single lap.

However, the man cannot stop making roadkill at this track. He tested there over the summer and smacked down like six squirrels and today he thought he fucked up his front wing because he ran over a bunny coming across the track. Classy move by NBC to hold a moment of silence for the little fella.

The last race next weekend in Long Beach for the championship basically comes down to Alex Palou and Pato O'Ward. Palou just continues to be consistent as hell. Same with O'Ward. It'll be a fun one no doubt. We got a title on the line.
