A 16-Year-Old Lied to His Parents About Going To The Euro Final And Thought He Got Away With It... But Then They Gave Him a Framed Picture of Himself at the Game From BBC News

I love everyone in this video. First of all, Joe already understands one of the most valuable lessons you can learn in life, which is that it's much easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. His brother said in the comments of the video that their mom worries a lot and wouldn't have let him go, so he and the boys just pulled the classic switcheroo and went anyway. That was a once in a lifetime game to attend, you worry about the rest later.

He would have gotten away with it, too, were it not for those damn photographers. Out of all the tens of thousands of people at Wembley Stadium, of course the cameras found Joe — although if you really didn't want to get caught, maybe don't get on someone's shoulders. But when the brother saw the photo, he immediately set this fantastic plan into motion.

The parents actually seemed pretty cool with it, but I suppose it would be pretty ridiculous to get mad about your kid going to a game two months ago. I would guess, however, Joe might not be allowed to go to Nathan's house for a while.

But this is actually a really cool gift with an awesome story behind it. Even though the game ended in unfathomable heartbreak, Joe will always have that picture to remember the time he snuck out to go to a Euro final.
