Ho Hum... White Sox Activate Tim Anderson & Lucas Giolito Off IL, Place Andrew Vaughn On It

This is it. This is the end of the phantom IL stints... I think. I hope. I pray. I am so goddamn sick of not seeing this team full bore but at the same time, I understand it. Get Vaughn rested up both physically and mentally then let him fly again. He probably needs the mental rest more than anything right now; he's a young buck so I'm sure his legs and back are fine, but goddamn was he scuffling for a bit prior to this move.

Here are his numbers in the last month prior to this IL stint:

YEESH. That is NOT pretty. He absolutely could use a mental reset and now is the perfect time being it's his first full season, he's 23 years old, and never even sniffed 150 games in one summer before. That said, in spite of his recent struggles, he's still going to be awesome. Not a doubt in my mind about that. Don't be an idiot like this guy:

Just look back to what he was doing in the middle part of the season when the Sox REALLY needed his bat:

Dude was tearing it up, so here's to hoping we see a version of him much closer to that than the version we've seen of him recently. If he's firing on all cylinders with the rest of the lineup, the White Sox can win the World Series. Simple as that. He's a big part of what the White Sox are trying to do the next 5+ years, so let's get him right and re-unleash him on the league. Cool? Cool.
