Jaguars Get Dominated In Every Phase Of The Game To Start The Urban Meyer Era

Brutal, brutal game. From the jump, the Jaguars were outplayed, out coached and out manned. This season is all about how Trevor Lawrence develops and in order for that to happen, the skill players have got to do more. They had 5 drops and several holds which killed drives. You absolutely don’t want your rookie QB seeing third and 10+ over and over but that’s exactly what happened.

I knew the defense was trash but I didn’t think it would be this bad. They got no pressure and look slow across the line. Every Houston run was a positive gain until the 4th quarter. Not gonna win that way in the NFL.

The Jaguars won their first game of the year and then lost the rest so I’m not gonna judge the season just yet but man oh man. Losing to a team that many thought wouldn’t win a game all year certainly isn’t the way they drew it up.

Overall, the team was undisciplined and made mistakes all day long. The Jaguars won’t do shit all year if they can’t get off the field on third down which is exactly what happened last year. I don’t think they have the jimmy and Joes they need up front but the Xs and Os certainly didn’t help either. 

I’m sad.
