Thursday Night Opener

TB -9 (o/u 51.5)

Buccaneers 27 Cowboys 10

I like Tampa raising the banner and raising hell, as the Buccaneers defense proves to be too much for Dak Prescott in his return from a broken ankle.

Sunday 1 pm

Atl -3.5 (o/u 48.5)

Falcons 24 Eagles 16

A pair of re-tooling teams meet. Matt Ryan still has some ability and should lead Atlanta to a victory, as Jalen Hurts struggles.

Buf -6.5 (o/u 48.5)

Bills 23 Steelers 13

The Buffalo Bills could be on the way to a magical season, as a fan-filled stadium makes life had from Old Man Roethlisberger.

Car -4.5 (o/u 44)

Panthers 38 Jets 11

Life can be cruel at times to the Paper Airplanes in green and white; watch Zach Wilson struggle as Sam Darnold has a career day in his Carolina debut.

Min -3 (o/u 47.5)

Vikings 23 Bengals 17

The Bengals could make this one interesting, but Kirk Cousins always finds a way to beat the bad teams.

Det +8 ( o/u 45)

Lions 27 49ers 25

This one has the makings of an upset. The 49ers seem undecided on a quarterback as Jimmy Garoppolo has named himself the starter. Jared Goff making his Detroit debut will lead the Lions to victory.

Jax -3.5 (o/u 45)

Jaguars 27 Texans 10

Houston has too many problems, as the Deshaun Watson situation has created a mess in Texas; look for Trevor Lawrence to shine, as the Texans are a legitimate threat for 0-17.

Sea -3 (o/u 50)

Seahawks 37 Colts 27

The Colts have not won in Week 1 since 2013. With Russell Wilson and the Seahawks in town, that streak will not end in 2021.

Ten -3 (o/u 52.5)

Titans 30 Cardinals 17

The Titans believe they can make a Super Bowl run; the Cardinals are a solid team but will have trouble dealing with Derrick Henry.

Was -1 (o/u 44.5)

Washington 20 Chargers 17

The Washington defense will be a nightmare all games, as Ryan Fitzpatrick shows some magic to get an overtime win.

Sunday Late Afternoon

Cle +5 (o/u 54.5)

Chiefs 37 Browns 34

After a playoff win last season, the Browns look to show they are ready to be among the NFL's elite. They will not win this game, but they will give the Chiefs all they can handle before Patrick Mahomes finds a way to get the win.

Mia +3.5 (o/u 43.5)

Dolphins 19 Patriots 17

It is a battle of Alabama quarterbacks as Mac Jones makes his NFL debut. Look for this one to come down to the defense as Xavien Howard grabs a crucial late interception to get Miami an upset win in Foxboro.

NO +4 ( o/u 49.5)

Saints 41 Packers 30

Saints are forced to play a home game in Jacksonville due to the destruction of Hurricane Ida. Aaron Rodgers has struggled in Florida in the past, and Jameis Winston is poised for a big year; look for the Saints to march up and down the field.

NYG +3 (o/u 41.5)

Giants 27 Broncos 17

The Broncos are turning their offense over to Teddy Bridgewater, while Daniel Jones faces a big season in New York. The Giants need to get off to a good start and do with a win at the Meadowlands.

Sunday Night

LAR -7.5 (o/u 47)

Rams 41 Bears 13

Nobody will be waiting for Sunday night, as this game is a pure stinker. Look for the first full house at SoFi to have a lot to cheer as the Rams roll all over the Bears.

Monday Night

Bal -4.5

Ravens 27 Raiders 17

After fans were kept out last season, Las Vegas has their chance to rock the NFL on Monday Night Football. They could get a boost from the fans, but the Ravens will find a way to win, as the Raiders don't match up well with Baltimore.
