It Is With A Heavy Heart That We Announce That The Suez Canal Is Once Again Blocked

Boats were blocked from entering the Suez Canal for the second time this year after a container ship reportedly ran around. 

Local media said the vessel became stuck at around the 54km point in the canal in Egypt. 

The Suez Canal Authority was forced to temporarily suspend navigation while work to free the ship was ongoing.

Sky News Arabia reported that the vessel was successfully refloated a short time later and the channel was reopened.

Wait a minute… it was only blocked for a very short period of time? This is bullshit. Why are people even writing about this kind of nonsense? It’s sensationalism at its purest form. One global shipping nightmare fueled the loss of billions across the globe earlier this year and now “news agencies” will pounce on any chance to get clicks. Frankly, it’s disgusting and unbecoming of the profession. 

People’s lives depend on the Suez Canal being open. They have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. We weep for the maritime trade companies and you curse the captain of those ships. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing that the shipping lanes being open probably saves lives. Shame on you for wanting some sort of sick entertainment while sailors are stuck in unimaginable conditions on the low seas.
