VIDEO: Fordham Player Breaks NCAA Record For Tackles

After a correction in the stat book, Fordham's Ryan Greenhagen recorded the most tackles in an NCAA game with 31 tackles. That statistic is nuts when you compare it to the most tackles made in an NFL game by Brian Urlacher who had 25. Luke Kuechly follows after Urlacher with 24. The thing about this stat is that it usually only occurs in huge blowouts. Kuechly at BC recorded 21 tackles in a game. If we look at both Urlacher and Kuechly's careers at non-power house schools we may see Greenhagen have an amazing NFL career. The previous record of 30 had been held by three players, Chattanooga's Josh Cain (2001), Norfolk State's Kevin Talley (2004), and Stetson's Donald Payne (2014).

Nebraska Players and Coach Frost all voiced high praise for #47.

I have obtained cut-ups of all of his tackles and this is an insane effort.

I would guarantee this guy was an absolute mess after the game. He's going to be sore for a month after making all these tackles.

Really wouldn't be surprised if this guy gets drafted in the 3rd round just because of motor and grit.

I mean look at these plays deep into the 4th quarter.

I could see someone picking him up in the transfer portal.
