Back Flips, Tubing, Kayaks: Philadelphians Make The Most Of Vine Street Canal (AKA I-676)

Days after Ida dropped up to 8 inches of rain on Philly, the Vine Street Expressway, MLK Drive and Kelly Drive are all still out of commission thanks to the ol' Schuylkill River, and I have a feeling certain sections will be for quite some time. In the mean time it should surprise no one that Philadelphians are taking full advantage of this hot new waterfront real estate...

Crazy to look at the location of the photos above on Google maps & see this is happening in such a prominent part of the city. 

I just hope this doesn't scare people off and cause them to leave beca…. oh shoot…

In closing this got me thinking - Would like to see that adventurous crowd meet up with Donnie for some sort of city-by-city swimming-where-nobody-else-in-their-right-mind-would-ever-swim event next summer. Hippo Mode Tour 2022: Hepatitis Edition.
