This Bishop Sycamore Story Keeps Getting Weirder - Apparently Have A Player Who Was Supposed To Graduate In 2020 And Has A Fake Recruiting Profile

Alright, this Bishop Sycamore story keeps getting weirder. The story broke last night about how they basically lied about everything from their roster, to even being a real school.

And now we have this tweet. Not only did they lie about who was on their roster, apparently they have a kid who was supposed to be a graduate in 2020 in Florida. Sure, maybe a 5th year isn't crazy, especially at a fake school, but this is the class of 2022 now. You don't see 6th year high school seniors often.

Giphy Images.

Not only that but there's a fake HUDL profile and he once used a fake ID for a 7v7! What the hell is going on here? There is also this story about Bishop Sycamore, but it's worth noting a lot of it stems from message boards.

This is one of the more insane stories I can remember. They basically faked their way onto ESPN, lost 58-0 two days after playing Sto-Rox and losing 19-7 there. They have a LOADED schedule. Seriously look at this, if you know anything about high school sports, you know the teams. (h/t thsf)

Back to this individual player though. I need the story of the fake ID to play 7v7. I assume it was to prove he's younger? That's the only thing that makes sense in this situation. You have to know you're going to get caught, even if you're a good player. Any Division I compliance officer will be able to do an ounce of research in order to make sure you qualify. The fake HUDL profile - essentially a website to put highlights for recruiting - is just a bonus. Not sure how you fake that one, someone has to be good on Photoshop and deep fakes.

Oh and if that's not enough, there's a GoFundMe for Bishop Sycamore. It raised $140. It's almost impossible to raise that little.

PS: This might be my favorite image and tweet of this whole saga.
