It Would Be Gross Negligence For The Indianapolis Colts To Not Trade For Nick Foles At This Point
Earlier this morning it was reported that Nick Foles could very well be on the trading block.
Good for Chicago and good for Nick Foles. They've clearly got their guy in Andy Dalton as QB1, and you wouldn't want Nick Foles to steal that backup job from Justin Fields to completely derail his development. Meanwhile, Nick Foles deserves to be a starter in this league. He's a Super Bowl MVP for pete's sake. So fortunately for both parties, it seems like a move is imminent.
But where to, one may ask themselves?
Well it just so happens that a destination which I'm sure Foles is very interested in has just opened up.
Now I don't want this to be about vaccination or no vaccination. Everybody should be entitled to making their own decision when it comes to their own body. But at the same time, it's about risk vs reward. Carson Wentz took the risk of not being vaccinated, and now his reward is that the Indianapolis Colts are without a quarterback. Carson is out with Covid, Sam Ehlinger has a knee sprain. Are you telling me that Colts are really going to go into the season with Jacob Eason as QB1?
That would be doing a major disservice to the team, the fans, the league, and most importantly to Jacob Eason himself. He's not ready for that. And unfortunately for the Colts, they missed out on MinshewMania. So now they're really only left with the option of trading for Nick Foles. Frank Reich is a smart man. He's too smart to be this negligent. Do the trade.
P.S. - I need local Indianapolis sports talk radio stations I should be listening to right now. Need to hear how they're all handling the Wentz experience already.
