This weekend we were able to try the Call of Duty Vanguard Alpha and the brand new game mode "Champion Hill." The best way to think about Champion Hill is a combination of gunfight (from Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019) meets Warzone. The game mode is a blast and I can see tournaments in this game mode being a ton of fun.
In the video above I give my full impressions of the Vanguard Alpha, what I liked, what I didn't and what my top adjustments would be between now and when the game releases. The Alpha was only available to PlayStation users, the Beta will be available for two weekends:
September 10th -13th - PlayStation exlcusive (sorry, not sorry Xbox users)
September 16th - 20th - Open on all platforms
It appears that the Beta will have multiplayer access that goes further than just Champion Hill which I'm really excited to try.
Like any CoD the first few games are rough, but once you learn the gunplay and the maps, the game feels so much better— MRags (@BarstoolMRags) August 27, 2021
