I understand there’s some controversy about the missed extra point. That’s really too bad because otherwise it was a perfect day in Champaign. I meant literally fucking PERFECT start to the Bret Bielema era at Illinois. I told all you guys to pound the Illini money line and not think twice about it. That Nebraska was cooked and that Illinois would have a fire in its belly coming out with a new leader. 4 quarters of good hard big ten football later and it’s obvious I was right. Start booking your January flights to Pasadena guys because this team is special.
Shoutout to coach Bielema for the clean helmets and uniforms. He promised us on Red Line Radio that they’d have a real fresh look and needless to say Coach kept his promise. That’s exactly what I want my football team looking like on an early Saturday afternoon this fall.
One down, however many to go. The Illini are so back and we’re off to the races. Hopefully Peterson is okay but credit to Sitkow for picking up the pieces. Balanced running game. Luke Ford in the end zone. Isiah Williams part 2 in the end zone. Everything is right in this world.
