Tom Cruise Is Determined To Die A Gruesome Death (Vol. III)

ICYMI Vol I and Vol II

(THR) This year’s CinemaCon featured no stars in person, Paramount packed plenty of Cruise into its presentation Thursday that offered the first 13 minutes of Top Gun: Maverick, as well as a lengthy featurette detailing what Mission: Impossible filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie called their most dangerous stunt ever.

Cruise trained for a year to perfect the stunt, which was filmed on day one of principal photography and featured him jumping a motorbike off a massive cliff into a remote valley in Norway. To train, he performed 500 skydiving sessions and 13,000 motorbike jumps. The featurette showed previews of the stunt and cameras including one mounted on a drone.

This all comes from Cinemacon, which is currently going down in Las Vegas.

If you know me, then you know that I am a huge man of the Bussy man and his insane exploits. There isn't a soul in Hollywood who is able to match Cruise's dedication to entertaining the public. This dedication is fiery, intense and at this point, suicidal! He will stop at nothing until he does every insane stunt that director Christopher McQuarrie and co can think of! And in case any of you weren't aware, he is already cleared to film his next movie with Doug Liman in motherfucking space! Name one other actor who would do that!

As for the actual stunt, it's not really the big jump the scares me. It's the practice! Cruise did over 100 actual jumps for the HALO jump we say in MI7. Now were are adding 500 more and 10,000 motorcycle jumps!? I'm just horrified of the day that we lose our crazy king in the act of practice for one of these insane stunts. Can I get this picture printed or molded onto some kind of shrine for his safety? Maybe wear it around my neck like a st. christopher medallion?

P.S. Apparantly the footage for Cruise's other movie, 'Top Gun: Maverick', was awesome as well.
