RIP Charlie Watts of The Rolling Stones

Charlie Watts, the drummer of The Rolling Stones died yesterday at 80 years old of throat cancer. Many called him the “engine” or backbone that drove The Rolling Stones. He was part of the band since its inception in 1963. Watts was known for being an eloquent dresser and looking sharp on the stage.

My Dad raised me on The Rolling Stones and yesterday was a sad day for us. I recounted countless childhood memories rocking out to The Stones with him. But what a life Charlie Watts lived as the drummer for the band who many feel (including myself) was the greatest of all time!

I leave you with the lyrics from “Dead Flowers."

“And I Won’t Forget To Put Roses On Your Grave”

RIP Charlie Watts.
