Julio Jones Is NOT A Top 15 Wide Receiver For 2021
In the 2nd episode of Fantasy Football Factory, Steven Cheah and I broke down our Top 25 WRs for the 2021 season. Here’s my list with some thoughts:
1. Davante Adams
Adams probably will not score 18 TDs again but most of GB’s passing game is designed around him (ESP Red Zone) Sign me up for Rodgers & his last dance.
2. Tyreek Hill
Cannot go wrong with the ultimate game breaker who can score from anywhere at anytime. He also gets a lot of targets in the NFL’s top offense.
3. DeAndre Hopkins
Year 2 with Kyler Murray in the desert should mean a lot more TDs for Hopkins.
4. Stefon Diggs
I like Diggs but hard to see him topping 1535 yards and leading NFL in receiving again. I don’t like taking players coming off career years.
5. A.J. Brown
The presence of Julio Jones on the other side will not hurt. A.J. could score 12-15 TDs. Hoping he gets more targets this year.
6. Justin Jefferson
Jefferson will continue to shine on the turf in Minneapolis with Kirk Cousins. Catches & yardage should be exceptional for the outstanding route runner. Hopefully he gets a few more red zone looks.
7. DK Metcalf
DK is a super freak and will make a ton of big plays down the field. Hopefully he gets more targets this year as Seattle will also try to run the ball and throw to Tyler Lockett underneath.
8. Calvin Ridley
Ridley excelled without Julio Jones in 2020. He’s unquestioned top target in ATL and is in line for a big year on the Dome turf.
9. Keenan Allen
Should be a reliable top target for Justin Herbert. The addition of new OC Joe Lombardi (Saints) will not hurt this offense.
10. Mike Evans
Evans is looking for his 8th straight 1,000 yard season and will make big plays as Tom Brady’s deep threat. Not sure about the targets with so many mouths to feed in Tampa.
11. CeeDee Lamb
This is the year Lamb becomes the #1 in Dallas high flying passing offense. Tremendous upside potential.
12. Cooper Kupp
I FREAKING love Kupp this year with Matthew Stafford. He’s going to catch a ton of balls and flourish. Stafford is massive upgrade for the Rams at QB.
13. Allen Robinson
Robinson will continue to put up #s no matter who takes the snaps at QB in Chicago.
14. Amari Cooper
Even if Lamb emerges as go to guy for Dallas there’s still plenty of room for Cooper to shine in this offense. He has a good chemistry with Dak Prescott.
15. Robert Woods
Woods also should benefit greatly from the Rams QB upgrade.
16. DJ Moore
Carolina will have a sneaky good offense in 2021. Darnold is going to be an upgrade over Bridgewater. Moore had plenty of yards in 2020 and will find the end zone more this fall.
17. Adam Thielen
While Thielen may be slowing down some, he still has chemistry with Kirk Cousins and hard to ignore the 14 TDs. Vikings look for him in red zone.
18. Terry McLaurin
I am not near as high on the WFT offense as most but the addition of Ryan Fitzpatrick should help him some.
19. Julio Jones
He’s being over drafted as #14 WR but still should have a decent season opposite AJ Brown. He is 32 years old tho & prime is behind him.
20. Chris Godwin
If not for presence of Antonio Brown, Godwin would be ranked much higher. TB has a lot of cooks in the kitchen.
21. Tyler Lockett
Although he only had two 100 yard games, he is super steady (ESP in PPR). Russell Wilson loves going to him underneath.
22. Courtland Sutton
Sutton is dynamic when healthy and should bounce back from torn ACL with a solid season in Denver. Also a strong red zone threat with his size.
23. Chase Claypool
He’s my favorite of the 3 WRs in Pittsburgh. He is a monster making plays down the field & in red zone (10 TDs as rookie).
24. Ja’Marr Chase
Love the connection he already has with Joe Burrow from 2019 National Championship when LSU offense broke every record known to man. The problem is he took last year off and Burrow recovering from torn ACL. Banking on strong 2nd half of season but could start slow. Phenomenal big play threat.
25. Michael Thomas
I am not sure how many games Thomas will miss to start season with ankle injury. If Jameis Winston wins QB job, Thomas will flourish as top target as long as he’s healthy. Saints are extremely thin at WR behind him.
These players just missed the cut:
Robby Anderson
Kenny Golladay
DJ Chark
Mike Williams
