Every now and then a true superstar of the Little League World Series emerges and captures everyone's attention. Then there's Gavin Weir who is doing stuff I've never seen before from a kid that age. He's basically Chris Sale in a 12 year old's body. No actually, they have an identical motion.

Want to hear Gavin Weir's stats lately? In the 572 pitches he's thrown in districts, states, regionals. and the LLWS he's allowed one single hit. A couple weeks ago in the regionals he threw two perfect games in the same week…11IP 30 strikeouts! Over his last 16.2 IP we're talking 45 strikeouts out of 50 possible outs. Um, excuse me? I mean look at this kid's slider. No one has a chance out there. Not a single soul.

Honestly don't remember a single kid growing up in little league who was cooking with a slider like that. He even has a k strut for goodness sakes. Cannot imagine how much fun that has to be. Like sure high school, college baseball, even the MLB could be in his future if things go right but dominating like this at any level is surreal. Dude's basically Wilt averaging 50 a game in the 60s. I usually don't go out of my way to watch the LLWS, but I can't afford to miss this kid dominate like this. Need South Dakota to go all the way.
