Death, Taxes, And Matt Rambo Being The Most Clutch Performer In PLL History

Matt Rambo has an addiction. And that addiction is ripping out the hearts and souls of the Redwoods in the playoffs. He quite literally cannot get enough of it.

First it was the championship game in 2019. Perhaps you remember.

Then Matt Rambo and the Whipsnakes took down the Redwoods in overtime again in the semifinals of last year's championship series. So you have a championship overtime dagger, a semifinal overtime dub, and that brings us to last night. Rambo and the boys meeting up with the Redwoods in the playoffs yet again. This time in the quarterfinal round. And after heading into the locker room down a few goals at halftime, you had to know exactly how that game was going to end. You didn't even need to watch the 2nd half to know precisely which events were about to transpire.

This fucking guy. He's an assassin. That's 3 straight years now where the Redwoods season has been ended in a 1-goal game against the Whipsnakes. And if history repeats itself as it often does, the other 3 teams still remaining in the playoffs are furiously punching air right now at the fact that the Whips are still alive. Because according to the Jordie Bureau Of Stats, the Whipsnakes have gone on to win the championship every single time they've eliminated the Redwoods by 1-goal in the playoffs. Tough break for the Waterdogs in Philly on September 5.

As for the rest of the quarterfinal matchups this weekend in SLC, the Chaos did their usual thing of sucking ass so hard in the regular season just so they could store up their best lacrosse for when it actually mattered. They took care of the Archers and sent the most disappointing team in the league home by a score of 13-10.

Blaze bids them farewell like the gentleman he is.

And then the Atlas picked up their first ever playoff win as Jeff Teat and the gang took down the Cannons 13-9 yesterday. This goal alone should be considered enough to put Teat away on felony assault charges.

To his old high school coach, no less! Those damn kids these days. They got no respect, I tell ya.

Atlas vs Cannons. Whipsnakes vs Waterdogs. Sunday September 5th in Philly. See you beauties then.
