DO NOT Boo Mitch Trubisky This Weekend

The news that Josh Allen wasn't playing broke yesterday and Mitch Trubisky instantly started trending on twitter. With no Josh Allen it means that Mitch will be running out of the tunnel with the first team Bills offense. It means he's going to run in from the sidelines at some point in the first quarter on to Soldier Field. It means that his name will be said over the PA system and will echo off the pillars and to the lake front. When all of that happens, Mitch Trubisky should hear nothing but polite cheers. Do NOT boo Mitch Trubisky. He has been through enough here.

Mitch wasn't a fuck up. He wasn't a shithead. He didn't trade up to draft himself at #2 overall. He is a nice boy. It just didn't work out here. It didn't work out, but it wasn't because he didn't work hard or because he was running around the city shit hammered the night before games. No. By all accounts he did everything the right way except for play quarterback. He played hurt. He handled the Nick Foles benching with class. Played okay when Foles got hurt later in the season. He did everything you want off the field. He just wasn't Mahomes. He wasn't the savior. He wasn't the QB to guide a Super Bowl caliber defense to the Super Bowl. We all wish it went differently, but we've moved on. He's in a new city. We are happy with our guy. Let's all just act accordingly and give him a golf clap and a head nod to appreciate his efforts and move on. Don't be an asshole tomorrow. He's been through enough. Time to take the high road
