Puma Confidently Rolled Out Possibly the Most Hated Soccer Kits Ever Made
On Wednesday, Puma unveiled this season's third kits for its top clubs, including Manchester City and AC Milan. There had been some leaks and rumors of this template Puma was going to use for several weeks, but the brand and clubs finally confirmed it and to say the reaction was overwhelmingly negative would be an understatement.
So yeah, people aren't happy.
I actually didn't think City's was necessarily the worst thing I'd ever seen until I saw the logos all over the shirt. If you're going with the font across the chest instead of a badge, then just do that. There's no need to make it look like somebody was standing at the end of the assembly line going apeshit with a stamp.
This is just your classic example of asking if we can rather than if we should. Puma's other kits this year were fine — I actually think Man City's away shirt is really cool. You don't always have to try to re-invent the wheel.
If you're a fellow fan of one of these clubs, here's hoping these don't make it onto the field more than a couple times this season.
