Oh my goodness, this is exactly what I needed to see on this gloomy day. We're in the weird short dog days where football is just a couple weeks away, baseball teams are eliminated and it's just getting through preseason with no injuries. Seeing Thibs smile is how I know everything is going to be a-okay. Thibs doesn't smile, he does that weird laugh, but he rarely smiles.
Today was the day we welcome Evan Fournier and Kemba Walker as one of us. And let me tell you what, everything is coming up Knicks. Look at the joy on all their faces. Kemba back in the Garden for cheap? Yeah, let's see what he has. Hell, the Knicks had Elfird Payton as the starting point guard last year and we still got to a 4-seed. All you have to do is be better than Elfird Payton. The day actually started with Leon Rose doing Leon Rose things.

Having a competent front office is awesome guys. Let me tell you after the disaster of the last two decades, it's nice having someone smart in charge there. Then we had the press conference and even Fournier saying how he dreamed of being a Knick.
Then during the press conference we found out the world is returning to normalcy.
The Knicks belong on Christmas Day. The fact it's not a national law at this point is absurd. I want my Christmas to go like this. Wake up in the morning, watch my kid open up some presents with some Christmas jams playing through the house. Then at noon, the Knicks game comes on as I argue with my old man and brother about the importance of guards vs bigs.
God it feels great to have hope again. Just compete. I'm not saying the Knicks are going to win a title, but it's about building and growing. You don't win a title overnight in the NBA unless you land a top-5 player. Just keep getting better and let me see you in the playoffs. Like Fat Joe says, don't let us get hot.
