Remember That Viral Tim Tebow Block? Yeah, That Wasn't Even His Worst One of the Night

We all saw this block from tight end Tim Tebow this weekend. And sure, it's a bad look. He ends up on his ass while the guy he was supposed to be blocking looks like he swatted a fly out of his way. But a reasonable person might say that everyone was only showing his worst play of the night and there were some equally good ones in there that were being ignored.

However, it is with sincere regret I must inform you that is not the case. Here was the next snap.

Damn it, Tim. I was rooting for you. We were all rooting for you.

The ease with which that Cleveland defensive lineman discards Tebow like he was just annoyed that he even tried is pretty shocking. As cool as it would have been for Tebow to make a team at a new position with his former coach, he very clearly looks lost out there.

So while it looks like the Tebow experiment may soon come to an end, I can't express how badly I want Urban Meyer to keep him at least past the first round of cuts. The outrage when Meyer merely signed his protégé to a one-year, veteran minimum contract was unrelenting. Imagine if he makes it to the second preseason game after that performance? People are going to absolutely lose their shit and I'd kinda love to see it.

We will never let go, Tim. Go try baseball again or something. Don't give up.
