If You Like 500 Foot Home Runs Than Rangers Minor Leaguer Sam Huff Is For You!
Sam Huff has a problem, he hits too many 500 foot home runs. It's becoming a pattern now. He has become accustomed to absolutely mashing homers in AA and it doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon. He hit a 511 foot homer earlier this season, and last night pulverized a ball 502 feet deep into the woods. He's not setting the world on fire with his average and isn't even at double digit homers on the season, but when he gets ahold of a ball you better watch out. He's got arguably the best power out of any prospect in baseball and it shows. He has to have the longest average HR. Have to love how none of the outfielders moved a step either. Like they didn't even think about moving. When Huff is up you have a pretty good idea of where it's going. It's not a necessarily violent swing either, just a nice smooth stroke that just happens to send balls flying over 500 feet. He's got special power and it's going to be fun to watch him do it in the bigs soon. Now hopefully that ball comes down in the next few days and we can see how far it really went.
