Two Employees Arrested After A Meth Lab Was Discovered INSIDE The Taco Bell Where They Work
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (CBS2/FOX28) – Two men are in custody after police say they were involved with drug activity inside a Cedar Rapids business. Public Information Officer Greg Buelow tells CBS 2 News that officers were called to the Taco Bell on Blairs Ferry at 4:42am Tuesday morning for suspicious activity. When they got there they found two men outside the restaurant. Officials say one of the men told police he was an employee, the other said he was not. Police called the manager of the Taco Bell who asked them to make sure everything inside was okay. When officials went inside they say they found remnants of a meth lab. It’s just like Breaking Bad! Kind of. Slangin’ meth out of a fast food joint. The only difference of course being that Gus Firing was a criminal mastermind and the guys at this Iowa Taco Bell were absolutely just a couple of tweakers who thought they could get away with it. Gus was smart enough to not make the actual meth in the restaurants he owned but whatever. I gotta say, the logic is there though. If you ever had a part time job in college then you understand. You tried to find the most boring job ever so it could double as a study hall where you could get all your homework done and get paid while doing it. Kill two birds with one stone type of thing. That’s all these guys were doing. Hell, there have to be times during their shift when they’re just standing around doing nothing. Why not cook a little meth when they’re not making cheesy gordita crunches and make a little extra money? Sounds like a solid plan to me. Two incomes are better than one last time I checked.
PS- That’s my neighborhood Taco Bell by the way. I’ve been there a trillion times. I go there all the time. It’s a couple of minutes away from the house I grew up in. Been going there since I was in diapers. Never once saw a meth lab or anything that look liked a meth lab so I’m waiting until the investigation is over before I jump to any conclusions. I was in there one time and a guy was waving a pistol around so I took my crunch wrap and got the fuck outta there. Other than that it’s a great place.
